Use Neuroscience to Be the Change You Want to See in the World
We live in a time of turbulence and widespread anxiety because the human brain is wired to react to change as a threat. Yet our brains are also wired to appreciate change as an opportunity to become a fuller expression of our higher selves, or in Gandhi's words, "to be the change we want to see in the world."

Due Quach, the author of Calm Clarity: How to Use Science to Rewire Your Brain for Greater Wisdom, Fulfillment, and Joy, will share how neuroscience can guide human beings to develop the leadership capacity to co-create a world where every person thrives.

Due will shed light on how our brain can default to two reactive survival modes, a fear-driven state of hypervigilance (Brain 1.0) and a dopamine-driven state of chasing quick-fixes (Brain 2.0). This awareness is key to recognizing how when we as individuals, communities, and organizations interact in Brain 1.0 and Brain 2.0, we can reinforce polarization and give power to external forces to keep us divided. Due will also share how we can break this cycle by building our capacity to shift our default mode into Brain 3.0, a wisdom-guided state of agility that enables us to harness our innate neural capacity for connection, compassion, creativity, and problem-solving to collaborate to more effectively address the challenges we face as a society and contribute to collective flourishing.
