PhillyXP's membership believes that the path forward for software development is in small, cross-functional teams that work together to continuously improve. We are dedicated to the continued exploration and education of eXtreme Programming, Lean Software Development, Modern Agile, software craft and continuous improvement. We encourage everyone interested in learning more about these topics to join us on this journey.
PhillyXP's First Lean Coffee
Join us for our first Lean Coffee on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.
If you've never participated in a Lean Coffee before, don't worry, we'll discuss the process (in 5 minutes or less) at the start of the meeting.
After this meeting, you'll be able to moderate your own Lean Coffee events.
What is Lean Coffee?
Lean Coffee is a structured but agenda-less meeting. Participants gather, build an agenda, and begin talking. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda for the meeting was democratically generated.
You can learn more about Lean Coffee here: http://leancoffee.org/
We'll be setting a few general categories to get started (the exact number will depend on our number of participants), but again, the agenda is up to the participants.
Possible Discussion Topics:
- Influencing Organizational Change
- Applying Modern Agile Principles (http://modernagile.org/)
- Where does product development fit into Scrum / XP?
- How do you get cross-functional teams to work together instead of in silos?
We look forward to seeing you. Please RSVP by Sunday, January 27th.
Note: This meeting will take place on the first floor of 4 Radnor Corporate Center (not the third floor like our previous meetings). Look for the first-floor Brandywine Conference Room on the left just past the bank of elevators.
6:00p - 6:30p: Food & Networking
6:30p - 8:00p: Lean Coffee
