Unipolar vs Multipolar, A Geopolitical Juggle

The world geopolitically and economically has existed in a reasonably stable shape for the last 80 odd years since the end of World War Two, with The United States being the dominant figure, and the world using their currency as the dominant economic exchange for trade on the world stage, which has arguably allowed the United States to call the shots politically in a lot of ways.

In recent times however other major player such as the BRICS group have risen in power economically and politically allowing for less reliance on the US dollar and a seemingly conscious shift away from this currency to be able to trade independently with the world in there own currency, many other factors have played into this, the US being in debt to the rest of the world, shifting foreign policies, domestic troubles to mention just a few.

What does this all mean? we are certainly living in a dynamic new world which is likely to be emerging to what it will be for sometime yet. From a philosophical standpoint it is a fascinating look into human nature and an opportunity to explore ideas and worldviews that where and are taking shape. In this meeting we will be discussing.

  • What is going on geopolitically,
  • What world views caused it and what are the new ways of being
  • How will this affect us as a race,
  • Are we going to survive, are we going to flourish
  • Are we on the cusp of a new set of world values

If your interested in exploring what exactly is going on geopolitically and are we shifting from unipolarity to multipolarity and what it might mean for us from a philosophical point of view come along on the 15 Oct at 6pm for what is always a deep and enjoyable discussion on philosophical matters in a relevant modern way.
