Rendezvous with Rama is a 1973 science fiction novel by Arthur C. Clarke set in the 2130s, where a massive 50-by-20-kilometre cylindrical alien starship enters the Solar System and is named Rama after the Hindu god. The human crew of the Endeavour explores its interior, discovering a vast artificial world with a frozen sea, geometric structures, and alien lifeforms before Rama's course takes it back into deep space.
