Pragmatism (vs Idealism)

Details
We will continue to talk about Pragmatism and contrast that with other perspectives, such as Idealism, as in the pursuit of one's ideals.
As we mentioned last time:
Pragmatism defines truth by whether an idea “works” instead of its correspondence to reality.
Stanford Encyclopedia describes Pragmatism as:
“a philosophical tradition that – very broadly – understands knowing the world as inseparable from agency within it. This general idea has attracted a remarkably rich and at times contrary range of interpretations, including: that all philosophical concepts should be tested via scientific experimentation, that a claim is true if and only if it is useful.”
Chris will lead the meeting this time.
We will meet at the Newport library. Hope you can come!
