I'll lay out the format for you here, and get you a little more familiar with the whole program. We'll open with a toast, a reading or a presentation of some sort, and then we'll have the debate moderator explain the resolution to the audience. He'll introduce each debater one at a time as the two of you take a seat at the front of the theater. The debate itself will proceed as follows:

  1. Affirmative side (that'll be you), 3 min. opening statement
  2. Negative side (Anti-resolution debater), 3 min. opening statement
  3. Affirmative side, 3 min. rebuttal
  4. Negative side, 3 min. rebuttal
  5. Audience interrogatory (a few questions from our fine audience, fielded with the help of our moderator)
  6. Affirmative side, 3 min. closing statement
  7. Negative side, 3 min. closing statement
  8. Audience vote

After that, you can sit back and enjoy the rest of the show which will include a musical presentation, a short film, and a few other fun things. I recommend a coat and/or tie for your attire.

Reply with your bio, and we'll be ready.
