What we’re about

This is a relaxed, in-person philosophy discussion focused on original source texts, what philosophers actually wrote, in their own words.

We’ll meet in a public park with coffee and read short excerpts together (Stoics, Plato, Aristotle, and other foundational thinkers over time). No preparation is required. I’ll post links to the texts ahead of time for anyone who’s curious, but showing up is enough.

The goal is simple:

What were these philosophers trying to understand?

Why did these ideas matter in their time?

Do they still apply today, and if so, what might that look like?

There’s no pressure to speak. Listening is participation.
This isn’t a lecture, debate club, therapy group, or networking event, just an organic hangout for people who enjoy thinking and wondering out loud.

Come for the discussion, or just come to listen.
Stay for ten minutes or the whole time.

Bring coffee, curiosity, or just yourself.
