July Socrates Cafe

One of our members Brent has suggested we inquire into the question of knowing, or more formally in philosophy, epistemology. It is a vast subject, and as such I'd like us to consider it over multiple meetups.

Lets narrow our focus and dig into a few specific topics. Suggestions are requested with your RSVP. For example, you might introduce us to an important idea in the history of thought on this subject. This worked very well last time when Helen told us about Kant's theory of a priori space and time, and a lively discussion ensued.

As always, all are welcome, regardless of background. Socrates Cafe is an open, welcoming space for democratic dialog across the broad spectrum of philosophical issues. All attendees should follow these guidelines:
