August Socrates Cafe

This month we will continue our investigation of knowing, or more formally in philosophy, epistemology. We can take up the next two topics selected last month:

• Does science give us knowledge?

• Is knowledge outside of us?

But we'll check in with the group to see if other subjects are of more interest. Past attendance is not a prerequisite BTW.

As always, all are welcome, regardless of background. Socrates Cafe is an open, welcoming space for democratic dialog across the broad spectrum of philosophical issues. All attendees should follow these guidelines:

• Come to learn.
• Listen first, last and always.
• Be respectful of everyone's perspective.
• Explore, but take care not to digress.
• Help facilitate. This is your community.
