Free Public Talk: Journey of a Thousand Miles – In Four Stories

Details

Philosophers from many cultures and civilisations have resorted to myths and stories wishing to pass on to future generations their knowledge about the spirit that dwells in all human beings and which is the foundation of the universe we live in and experience through our senses. The talk attempts to unravel the wisdom contained within four such stories covering: the decision to start one’s personal journey in philosophy, the question facing all humanity, finding and following a guide and and the drag of the past on the journey. The aim is to put into a proper perspective the value of philosophy to our lives today.

The event runs from 2.00 – 3.30 p.m. at the English Language Centre, Salisbury Road, Hove BN3 2GB.
