Please join us Monday the 13th at 7pm for the second of a new online event series.

In this session, Yaron will lead an exploration of AI (AGI). The new generation of AI (chatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc.) appear to posses abilities previously considered to be uniquely human and to act in a manner we'd be hard pressed to not call intelligent. Does this mean they are actually intelligent? If not, how could we tell these states apart, and would that be a meaningful difference?

We'll examine these questions through a hand-waving introduction to the Chinese Room argument, and explore some of its immediate implications on current and future implementation of AI.

To attend please register here, and you will be sent a link to join online Monday afternoon: https://form.jotform.com/261801516624857

We kindly ask attendees to pay $5 to attend to help with MeetUp subscription costs & in-person venue costs. This is not mandatory, but if you are a regular member it would be appreciated. Bank details will be provided at start of event.

Hope to see you there!
