Philosophy Roundtable: Art

Art has been part of human life for as long as we have tried to express, interpret, and give meaning to our experience. But what actually makes something art, and why do certain works move us while others do not? Our discussion will centre around the nature, meaning, and value of art. This session will be hosted by Daniel.

There is no pre-requisite preparation necessary, nor a philosophical background, all that is required is a curious mind. These discussions are both a Socrates Cafe style discussion and lively metaphysical dojo in the spirit of learning and friendly debate. We welcome your self-reflections, in addition feel free to question assumptions and be prepared to have your own assumptions questioned.
