Details
What happens when reason turns in on itself?
Dostoevsky’s Notes from the Underground is a howl from the edges of rationality. In this session, we’ll explore the unnamed narrator’s rejection of utopian logic, his contradictions, and his refusal to be fixed by systems. Is he mad, or does he see something others avoid? Is freedom worth the pain of unpredictability?
We’ll use this text to ask: what is the self when stripped of performance? Join us in peeling back the layers of civilization to examine the underground man’s eerie insights into modern alienation, self-sabotage, and the double-edged nature of consciousness.
