Deep Dive: Sartre's Freedom and Responsibility

Details

Jean Paul Sartre's work “Being and Nothingness” contains conceps of absolute Freedom in life, which pertains to taking any action or creating any meaning that can be imagined.

Paired with this idea of existential freedom though, is his concept of “Responsibility”, in which the world is described as sequences of events in which a person can influence. Inaction, action, learning, and ignorance are all matters of responsibility that affect the world.

Can one have absolute freedom without responsibility?
