Join us online for a collaborative discussion on the praise (and defense) or mediocrity! Of being alright, and just OK

It is natural to want to compare ourselves to others; to see how we measure up. For most people, there will always be someone faster, stronger, smarter, more successful, more beautiful, etc.

And that’s okay.

Shouldn’t we be grateful for our own achievements and accomplishments, no matter how they measure up? How fair is it to judge one’s success against another’s when we each have unique gifts we bring, as well as unique obstacles we face?

For those that are fortunate enough to find themselves among the best of the best of a given field, I believe praise should be given as may be deserved. But this should not diminish our gratitude for our own successes.

How can we find gratitude and happiness for our own victories, no matter how comparatively small they may be? And how do we balance this with the pursuit of personal growth, self-improvement, to being the best version of ourselves?
