Is Astrology Real?

Astrological readings are typically conducted in a top-down manner: your astrologer has never met you, looks at your natal chart, and deduces your personality and life path.

Unlike psychotherapy or counselling where the therapists job is to listen to their client and reflect back their subjective reality as a reflective tool, astrologers in a directly opposite fashion “tell you who you are”.

Symbolic interpretation is vulnerable to assumptions and bias. And astrologers can too easily preach their opinion as fact. Does this not make astrology an indoctrinating belief system? Vulnerable to misunderstandings and prejudice just like organized religion?
