Dive into the Mystery!
Join us this month as we explore the philosophy of HISTORY & HOPE hidden in the hallways of the National Museum of American History.
For the Greeks, history was cyclical. Like Sisyphus, we are condemned to repeat what we have already lived. In contrast, America emerged in the Modern Era, where everyone believed in continuous progress. But is that true?
We will discuss whether there is any space for hope in our national and personal history, reflecting on different events in American history. The discussion will be led by a lecturer from The Catholic University of America.
### Recommendations:
- Reflect Beforehand: Before coming, take a moment to consider whether there is space for hope in our lives.
- Be on Time! Meet us at 10:15 a.m. in front of the LOCKER ROOM on the 1st floor (to your right after passing the Constitution Avenue entrance).
- Hearing Devices: The museum can be a bit noisy. Hearing devices will be provided, but we recommend bringing wired headphones or earbuds to connect with these devices for better audio quality.
- Tips Welcome: This is a free event, but tips are welcome. All contributions will go toward helping poor children in Africa (Kenya).
- Optional Coffee Discussion: For those interested, we will have coffee in the same building after the meeting to continue discussing these topics.
