Join us for a lively group discussion on The Republic, Plato’s most famous and provocative dialogue. We'll explore key themes such as the nature of justice, the role of the philosopher-king, censorship, education, and whether a perfectly ordered society is worth the cost of individual freedom.

This session will be less structured and more social than usual — come for the ideas, stay for the good company. Great for new members!

What happens when the old values no longer hold? When God is “dead,” and meaning feels out of reach? Join us for a philosophical deep dive into the radical, provocative, and often misunderstood ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche, the philosopher who stared into the abyss — and dared us to create new meaning from it.
This open discussion will explore:

• Nihilism: What did Nietzsche mean by it and was he for or against it?
• The Death of God: A cultural, not just religious, collapse
• The Will to Power: A creative force for becoming
• The Übermensch: An ideal of self-overcoming
• Eternal Recurrence: Would you live your life again, exactly the same?

We’ll examine why Nietzsche believed that the crisis of meaning in modern life is both a danger and an opportunity — and ask what his thought can offer us today.
