From Halloween trick-or-treating to Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, from medieval death rituals to modern horror films, cultures across the world transform fear of mortality into ritual, art, and even festivity.

In this discussion we’ll explore:

• How resurrection rituals and afterlife beliefs shape cultural identity.
• How macabre festivals help societies confront fear, grief, and the unknown.
