How much do you really owe other people?

This month's PiP will explore a tension that sits at the heart of modern life — the pull between individual freedom and collective responsibility.

On one side: the belief that your life is your own. Your goals, your happiness, your choices. That personal freedom should come first — and that too much focus on “the group” risks limiting individuality and self-expression.

On the other: the idea that we’re all part of something bigger. That our actions affect others, and that a good society depends on cooperation, shared responsibility, and sometimes putting the group before ourselves.

So where do you stand?
Should you always prioritise your own life… or are there times when you should sacrifice for others?
How much responsibility do we have to strangers? To society? To future generations?
And at what point does “looking out for yourself” become selfish?

As always, there’s no formal structure, no right answers, and no need to be an expert. Just come along, grab a drink, and join the conversation.
Expect lively discussion, different perspectives, and a few ideas that might make you question your instincts.
See you there!
