War represents a profound moral dilemma. It may sometimes appear necessary to defend sovereignty, protect citizens, or end oppression, yet its justification depends solely on whether the overall benefits outweigh the immense suffering it causes.

War can deter aggression and achieve stability, but it also destroys lives, economies, and societies, leaving trauma and division that last generations.

The question we ask is not whether war is right or wrong in itself, but whether any war can produce greater happiness and well-being than the harm it inevitably brings.
