Day of Arts - Making your own sistrum (30 minutes, mini-workshop)
Details
The sistrum is an ancient, ceremonial instrument used in Egypt and even before that.
Plutarch said. “The sistrum makes it clear that all things in existence need to be shaken, or rattled about, and never to cease from motion but, as it were, to be woken up and agitated when they grow drowsy and torpid.”
Join in to make this mysterious instrument and take it home with you.
This is an ongoing workshop, from 3pm to 5pm. Creating your sistrum takes around 30mins.
