Moral Decision Theory

Details

Are moral claims objective? Are they true regardless of personal opinions or cultural norms? Moral Decision Theory (MDT) says yes, but it arrives at this conclusion in a unique and original way. Instead of searching for universal moral principles, it discovers truth in each discrete situation. Instead of looking for objectivity within features of the world, it finds morality in the logic of decision-making. In this talk, Josh Dolin, the originator of MDT, presents and defends this innovative framework for understanding moral truth.
