What we’re about

Welcome to Philosophy in Practice – Oslo
hosted by Patricia Kraft

Dear all,

My name is Patricia Kraft, and it truly warms my heart to invite you into this group. I’m a film director and visual storyteller, but most of all, I’m simply a human being who loves deep conversations about what it means to be alive, to care, and to connect. For more than 15 years I’ve also taught Norwegian, guiding people through the language and, just as often, into the questions of our shared humanity.
This group is for anyone who longs for honest, meaningful exchange. You don’t need any background in philosophy – just a bit of curiosity, and a willingness to show up as you are. I believe philosophy lives in our real stories and our everyday longings, not just in books or theories.

Here’s the spirit you’ll find here:

  • Relatable and real: Our topics are universal – intimacy, belonging, vulnerability, love. If you’ve ever felt or wondered about these things, you’ll feel at home.
  • Open for everyone: No special knowledge required. Your experience of being human is more than enough.
  • Warm and welcoming: This is a space for gentle sharing, genuine listening, and kind curiosity – not debate or right answers.
  • Personal exploration: Your stories and feelings are just as welcome as ideas and questions. We learn from each other.

We’ll meet at Kafe Albin, Briskebyveien 42 – a little oasis in Oslo, full of vintage charm and soul. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do.

Our first gathering will be:
What is True Intimacy – and Why Is It So Difficult?

With warmth,
Patricia Kraft
