About us

In a world of hyper-niches, communication between sciences and philosophy has become increasingly difficult. The aim of this group is to bring together people from scientific and humanities backgrounds (and beyond) to engage with one another. We meet once a month to discuss a 20–30 page text of shared interest. So far, topics have included epistemology, Greek philosophy of science, cybernetics, and German Idealism -- though we’re always open to widening our palate.

Please don’t worry too much about the RSVP list: this event is advertised elsewhere, and we usually have around 5–10 people attending already. If you're interested, but hesitant to step into a new/unfamiliar discourse, please know that most people joining don't have a formal philosophical background, we're just looking for people who share a similar enthusiasm about these topics. You’re very welcome to just come and listen if you prefer.

If you want more details, please feel free to reach out to me via message!
