Philosophy and Reason

Why?
Our purpose is to create and share knowledge and improve our collective and individual understanding of our world and our place in it.

How?
We encourage conjecture. Questions are needed. Criticism is required and is better when given and received constructively. As a group we will delve and dive deep into our topics and where they lead us.

Who?
Everyone. There are no pre-requisites. If you wonder whether you are appropriate for our group - the answer is yes. The creation of knowledge does not come from the consensus.

What?
Each event will be assigned a topic and a format. It may consist of a presentation, or perhaps the elaboration of an hypothesis or it may be a debate followed by discussion. We may approach a topic from a problem solving perspective, using various techniques such as 5W1H.

In short our group is for anyone interested in increasing their understanding. And being part of creating new knowledge about ourselves and our place in the universe.
