We'll pick something short to read together, then talk about it. Nobody's teaching, nobody's grading, and nobody's trying to win — the point of a conversation like this is to think out loud with people who are actually listening, follow the good tangents, and leave with a slightly different view than you walked in with.
When we've said what we have to say, we pick something else and start again.

This is the first one, so everybody's new — there's no established crowd to break into. Just show up. No need to have read anything in advance, no philosophy background required.

If you like reading, or arguing about ideas, or just meeting with people who do, you'll fit right in.

I edit Better Argument, a small magazine on philosophy and technology, and this week's theme is Ethics & Technology. The articles will be picked from out catalogue — you can either read along online for free, or purchase a copy of the print magazine from me — your choice!

Tuesday 8th, 7pm at Ye Cracke Pub.
