They value good deeds, excellent character, and moral norms. It’s hard to compete with truth and morality. But there is a third value that stands out on that list: beauty. Beauty has a profound impact on our lives. It can also guide them: serve as a compass when we are in doubt or lost. In fact, some believe that beauty is as important as the other two values—and may even surpass them. But how can that be? Can beauty govern morality? Can it truly outweigh truth?
