God as Nature
Details
God as Nature
Traditionally, we separate God from nature. God is transcendent - surpasses natural order and is not bound by it. Nature is beautiful and constantly evolving, but not perfect and might perish in the end. Mystical experiences, however, often deliver a different message - they reveal that God and nature are one. In this Philosophy Salon, we will think carefully about this idea. Who is God if God is one with nature? What is our place in nature if it is divine?
