Life Without A Purpose

It is said that an unexamined life is not worth living. But what if your examination reveals that your life is empty? Or perhaps you'll see that your life is just ok - not really empty, but not 'bright'. You lead a kind of lackluster existence - get up, go to work, eat, sleep. The bottom line is that we all want meaning. So how do we get to that? Do we need a singular purpose? A higher calling? A vocation, mission, or just an inspiring list of goals? In this Philosophy Salon, we will talk about life without a purpose and what is gained - not lost - if purpose is not what we really need and want.
