Groupwork and the Contractor's Law; (Self-inquiry)
Details
Why is it beneficial to work in groups? Tonight we will try to delve as deeply as we can to unearth the boon behind group work and philosophical self-inquiry. Here is a quote from Richard Rose about the work, taken from the Albigen Papers:
"I recommend for those not otherwise addicted, to embark upon a threefold path .... I would explain the mechanism as a sort of troika, the vehicle being the individual, and the three powers that are pulling the vehicle with proportionate pace are the Truth, the Law of the Contractor (brotherhood), and the Life of Search". (p. 184)

Here are some questions from a seeker curious to learn more about this topic:
How do we know we are being guided well by others, spiritually and otherwise? OR How do we know we are being guided well by others in our spiritual journey? How do we know somebody is guiding us in a good direction? What are the signs that we are being nudged along well?
How do we know a person is a good teacher for us and has our best interests at heart?
How do we know when to let go of a teacher or at least cool off from our engagements with them? What are the signs we need to move on, or we have any control over that?
Can anybody be a teacher? Or are there certain criteria that people need to meet to make a good teacher? What are your criteria?
Where do spiritual peers or partners fit in?
What makes a good spiritual guide, partner, or confidant?
How do we know we are being guided well?
What makes us move on from some guides and stay with others? Is it a gradual letting go and opening up to new guides throughout our lives? How do we know it is time to move on?
‘Can we learn from everyone and everything, or do we learn more from certain people - why is that so?’
What questions do you have? Hope to see you there on the night to discuss this crucial topic for our spiritual evolution, group work.

Check out the "What we are about" section in the groups' main page for some guidelines we work to adhere to. Meetings are run on the popular Zoom platform. Please contemplate the topic in advance of the meeting to get the best out of it and bring your views and convictions to the meeting, if possible have a pen and paper close by to record anything useful that may come up that you resonate with on the night, little things you may want to contemplate further.
