Tonight's meeting is about the question of "what is a human being's purpose?" Why do you exist? Like really, why?

We will try to delve into the topic of the purpose of a human being and then try to hone in on each of us, why do I as a person exist? We will try to alternate between these two ways of looking as objectively as we can externally at why others exist, to looking at ourselves internally.

We can look at the universe, the macrocosm, to the very atoms the universe is made of, the microcosm, and ask the same question. Why does the universe exist? What really is it for? What is the purpose of the universe? If it exists, does that mean it has to have a reason for existence? Does that mean it has to have a purpose?

Or is everything just random and chaotic? Or is there some degree of order, or patterns of order? If there is order, who/what is orchestrating that? Is the universe in a state of evolution or devolution? Are you in a state of evolution or devolution? How would you know objectively rather than subjectively if you were evolving or not? How can I determine between "truth" and my tendency to lie to myself?

If the universe has a purpose, does that mean my purpose must be aligned to that? Or does each creature have its own unique purpose? If I don't fulfill my purpose with my time given, will I have failed? What will the cost be if I fail? Will I spend eternity in the doldrums as a result? Will I die when the body dies so death will be more of a relief than a burden?

Please join us on the night to face these most tough challenging enquiries into the great unknown. What questions do you have about your existence?
