It's amazing how much power high school and college-aged youth have gained over the past decade through social media. Whether through use of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any of the other myriad online social networks, youth have succeeded in getting older generations to listen to them.
Join us on Tuesday, October 7th at 6:00pm at the Friends Center, at 1501 Cherry Street for a discussion about how this trend has played out in Greater Philadelphia and beyond. Hear from representatives of the Urban Nutrition Initiative, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), and the Youth Health Empowerment Project as they discuss the role that social media has played in promoting the interests of youth.
It promises to be an inspiring evening for people of all ages at the Friends Center. RSVP’s are appreciated for planning purposes, but not required. Lite fare will be available.
