Papago Park West

This hike is rated EASY. If you've been waiting for the weather to cool down to get back out to the trails this is your sign! Join us as we hike the Double Butte Loop Trail at Papago Park (West). This is an easy natural trail that traverses the circumference of both the small butte near the parking lot and the larger double buttes to the north.

DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD: 625 N Galvin Parkway (West side of Galvin not East)
Take AZ-202 to exit 4 Van Buren Street. Head east on Van Buren, then turn north (left) onto Galvin Pkwy. After .3 mile at a light turn left onto Papago Park Road which will take you directly to the parking lot. The parking lot is on the WEST side of Galvin Parkway. Do NOT go to the zoo, do NOT go to "Hole In The Rock".
Bring water and wear sunscreen. Regular tennis shoes are fine, but no open toed sandals.
