Divas in Duets: Ensembles in Operas, Part 1

Come join our club at my apartment for an afternoon watching and discussing highlights of operas! Everyone can bring refreshments, pot-luck style. The theme will be duets from operas—while we often associate operas with divas singing solos, some of the most glorious opera scenes have the vocalists sharing the stage! We’ll explore duets from Verdi’s La Traviata and Aida, Gounod’s Romeo et Julliete, Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde, and more! Please note that we’ll be watching the excerpts on my laptop, so I’m setting the RSVP limit at 5 so everyone can see the screen. 😊
