For over 30 years, I have been honored to serve others as a certified clinical trauma professional and healing arts practitioner. Part of that service has been guiding my fellow practitioners to deepen their understanding of our work.
Whether you are beginning your journey or expanding your expertise, this immersive certification program will provide the tools, techniques, and confidence to integrate your personal or professional practices in a trauma-informed and healing-centered way. Through interactive, hands-on experience, this program is designed to deepen your understanding of trauma, enhance your facilitation skills, and ensure that your sessions are truly supportive and safe for those you serve.
What you can expect:
Trauma Education:
- Understanding the neuroscience of trauma, the nervous system, the polyvagal system and anterior cingulate of the cortex.
- Exploring trauma-genesis, and how trauma manifests in the body and energy field.
- Examining common misconceptions about trauma.
- Discovering adaptations and mitigations and psychological criterion.
- Learning the ACE study and how these adaptations and mitigations manifest into human health issues.
Trauma Processing: - Learning therapeutic approaches to help a client move through traumatic memories, responses, and releases.
- Discussing self-regulation and psycho-education
Trauma-Informed and Healing Centered Engagement Facilitation:
- Consent-based facilitation & the power of gentle invitation - The power of presence
- Empathetic listening
- Communication skills
- Somatic mirroring in Client Sessions
- Creating a trauma sensitive and informed environment.
- Intuition vs. perception
- Appropriate self-disclosure
- Avoiding Triggers & Creating a Safe Experience for Clients
- How to Respond When a Client Dissociates or Becomes Overwhelmed
Energetic & Emotional Boundaries:
- The importance of self-regulation
- Recognizing secondary trauma & burnout
- Practices for grounding and post-session clearing and integration
Somatic and Vibrational Approaches:
- Understanding somatic processes and how trauma is stored and released through the body
- The role of frequency & resonance in trauma recovery
- The impact of sound on brainwaves and altered states (Alpha, Theta, Delta states).
- Overtones & harmonics: How different frequencies interact with the nervous system and energy body.
- The use of silence and stillness and deep listening
- The connection between sound, emotion, and memory—why certain sounds evoke deep spiritual or emotional experiences.
- How to use specific instruments and frequencies for different outcomes
- Breathwork, mantra, and vocalization techniques for nervous system regulation or reset

Training Dates:
Weekend 1:
Friday-Sunday July 11 - 13, 2025 6PM – 9PM, Sat 10am – 6pm, Sun 10am-4pm
Weekend 2:
Friday-Sunday July 18-20, 2025 6PM – 9PM, Sat 10am – 6pm, Sun 10am-4pm
Tuition:
Tier 1**:** $1700 May 1st
Tier 2: $1900 May 15th
Tier 3: $2100 June 1st
Tier 4: $2300 June 15th
Tier 5: $2500 July 1st

Training will take place at Community Yoga 3375 E Shea Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85028 with classroom sessions at Mesquite Public Library 4525 E Paradise Village Pkwy N, Phoenix, AZ 85032

Many healing arts practitioners unknowingly work with clients carrying unresolved trauma. This training ensures that your sessions support deep healing without reactivating trauma responses. By integrating trauma-sensitive practices, you will enhance your effectiveness, expand your client reach, and cultivate a truly safe and transformative healing space.
Your Trainer
Water Shepherd She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Master of Arts degree in communication with a focus on advocacy, and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor study in philosophy. She holds a Certificate in social and behavioral science from the Barrett Honors College at ASU. She is a certified clinical trauma professional and certified in neurolinguistic programming, emotional intelligence (EQ), yoga nidra, and sound. She has over 30 years of experience working in human services. She is the founder of Third Eye Integration, an organizational wellness company focusing on company culture, mindful leadership development and employee wellness.
