Bob Dylan's poetry, philosophy, and music: universal impact

Details
Songs are poems that can fly. Dylan's songs are transcendent poetry, and the 2016 Nobel prize in literature was for "the creation of new poetic expressions". In the first meeting of this group, I will share a video of the American Ambassador to Sweden reading an acceptance of the prize to the Nobel committee on behalf of Bob Dylan and the United States. I will also play an audio of Bob's Nobel lecture, in which he gives reasons why his work can be thought of as "literature".
One of his first recordings, in 1962 was "Only a Pawn in Their Game" I think this is the strongest anti-racist song ever written. "Hard Rain" and "Chimes of Freedom" are also among the songs which led to Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barrack Obama's highest praises. Since the sixties, some people have not kept up on the the most recent 50 years of Bob's unparalleled, awesome creations. But since 1962, the masterpieces have never stopped coming.
This group will discuss one song at a time. We will listen to the song once, then discuss and listen again. Bob's impact on my mind has been powerful and therapeutic in many ways, including with with the "new creative poetic expressions" cited by the Nobel committee. I would like to meet others who feel likewise.
