Phoenix Bat Cave & Social

While we wait for cooler birding weather to return, we’re taking advantage of a quick, evening alternative event. There’s been a lot of interest in seeing this unique local phenomenon, the Phoenix Bat Cave.

Meet-Up Location:
Office park parking lot at 5080 N 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85018

Time: Arrive by 6:45 PM
We'll take a short walk (~800 ft on a flat gravel path) along the Arizona Canal Trail to reach the viewing spot.

Bat Viewing:
Around 5,000 bats will emerge from an old irrigation tunnel just before sunset (approx. 7:05 PM) and continue for about 15 minutes after.

After the Bats:
Join us afterward at Culinary Dropout (5632 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85014) — just a 13-minute drive away — to relax, grab a drink, and catch up from the summer. Free valet is available at this location.
