Spring at Gilbert Riparian Preserve
Details
Join us for our Spring visit to the Gilbert Riparian Preserve, kicking off what will now be our quarterly/seasonal location!
This is a relaxed, inclusive birding outing designed for all experience levels. We’ll begin at the Dino Dig / Dragonfly Ramada, gently venture our way toward the back ponds, moving at a flexible pace based on the group’s interests.
- Hard-packed gravel surfaces throughout
- Approximately 1.2–1.8 miles total, with plenty of stopping
- Restrooms available at the start and about halfway through
- Extra binoculars and monoculars will be available to borrow
- Don't forget to bring water and wear comfortable clothes with sun protection.
We’ll focus on spring migrants, waterfowl, and riparian birds while prioritizing observation, learning, and enjoying being outside together.
📅 Date: Saturday, March 28
⏰ Time: 8:00–9:30 AM
After the birding, anyone who’d like to is welcome to join for coffee or breakfast nearby (possibly 4 Silos Craft Coffee, we’ll confirm with those interested at the end of the event).
