November Tres Rios Wetlands
Details
Join the Phoenix Inclusive Birding Club for a morning of birding at Tres Rios Wetlands! We’ll explore the wetlands and surrounding habitat, looking for waterfowl, shorebirds, raptors, and other species that use this unique urban wetland area.
The walk will be approximately 1.5–1.75 miles, depending on what we’re seeing along the way. The route is flat and primarily consists of hard-packed gravel and concrete surfaces.
Date: November 22
Time: 8:00-9:30 AM
Permit: The trip leader will obtain the required City of Phoenix permit for the entire group, so participants do not need to apply individually.
Restrooms/Water: A porta potty is available on site, though its condition can vary. There is no drinking water available, so please bring enough water for the full outing.
Bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. We’ll bird at a relaxed pace and adjust the route based on activity and sightings.
All experience levels are welcome!
