Phoenix Lazybones Hikers 55+

An easygoing hike into a magnificent classic Sonoran landscape, strolling on a wide , well groomed mostly flat trails with a striking view to the Granite Mountain right up front… impressive giant granite rock formations, hiking through the massive saguaro-filled desert with incredible panoramic distance views of Bartlett Lake, Mazatzal Mts, 4-Pks and the Superstitions.

*Will take a 10 minutes break at the Scenic-View (2,780')

*meetup at the TH @ 540a and start strolling at 545. There are 🚻restrooms but no! Drinking water.

*Temps -

🚕Take loop 101 and get off at Princess/Pima. Go north on Pima Rd to Dynamite Blvd. Go 👉east on Dynamite for 3 miles and turn left👈/north @ 136th St. Drive about 3 miles and turn left 👈into the Granite Mt trailhead's parking lot.

** We are not⛔️starting at Granite Mountain TH. We are starting at Dove Valley Rd TH. Carefully read the directions ⬇️bellow....**

An easygoing peaceful hike into a magnificent classic Sonoran landscape, in the quiet seldom- hiked northern part of the preserve.....strolling on a wide , well groomed gently undulating trails (mostly flat) with a striking giant granite rock formations, hiking through the massive saguaro-filled desert and a visit to the ultra rare Double-Crested cacti, a mysterious narrow sandy slot granite walled canyon, and incredible sweeping panoramic mountain views of Mazatzal Mts, 4-Pks and the Superstitions.

🚕Take loop 101 and get off at Princess/Pima. Go north on Pima Rd to Dynamite Blvd. Go 👉east on Dynamite for 3 miles and turn left👈/north @ 136th St. Drive about 3 miles but ⛔️⛔️DONT!!! turn left into the Granite Mt trailhead's parking lot. (unless you need to use the restroom). **Simply continue driving another mile or so on 136th St until the paved road ends at Dove Valley Rd. intersection. Park on the 👉right side against the fence. The TH is across the street. Meetup here at 540a to start rolling at 545.
