** We are not⛔️starting at Granite Mountain TH. We are starting at Dove Valley Rd TH. (Less than a mile away…) Carefully read the directions ⬇️bellow....**
An easygoing peaceful hike into a magnificent classic Sonoran landscape, in the quiet remote & less-traveled spot in the far northern side of the preserve.....strolling on a wide , well groomed gently undulating trails (mostly flat) with a striking giant granite rock formations, hiking through the massive saguaro-filled desert and a visit to the ultra rare Double-Crested cacti ("1 in 200,000"), a mysterious narrow sandy mini-slot granite walled canyon, wildlife?🦌🦌and incredible sweeping panoramic mountain views of Mazatzal Mts, 4-Pks and the Superstitions.
🚕Take loop 101 and get off at Princess/Pima. Go north on Pima Rd to Dynamite Blvd. Go 👉east on Dynamite for 3 miles and turn left👈/north @ 136th St. Drive about 4 miles (DONT!!! turn left into the Granite Mt trailhead's parking lot, unless you need to use the restroom) until the paved road ends at Dove Valley Rd. intersection. Park on the 👉right side against the fence. The TH is across the street. I’ll be in a white suv.
