Experienced developers: Workshop on Recompose (bring your laptop!)
Details
Come check out our first workshop! Rather than presentations, we'll have a short intro to what Recompose (https://github.com/acdlite/recompose) is and what problems it solves. We'll spend the rest of the time practicing using it to build up helpful components. Be sure to bring your laptop so you can follow along! The idea is that you'll try it out for yourself in your own codebase. You can do it in a throw-away project, or in a branch on your real work projects. Make it awesome, then show it to your co-workers the next day and get some props (har!).
FAQ: I see there's a beginner meetup and an experienced dev meetup. Which one should I go to?
First, read the answer here (https://www.meetup.com/Phoenix-ReactJS/pages/23093645/Beginner_or_Experienced/). This month, both groups will meet in the same building at the same time, but different rooms. We'll have the meet-n-greet together, then split up for presentation time.

Garrett is a full stack developer by day and a super dad by night. He works at BrightGuest technologies, specializing in React and Node.
Garrett is a fan of Recompose and its ability to make composing components out of other components, simplifying development and minimizing bugs.
Have a job to fill or looking for a job?: Let's try this: to shorten the announcements portion of the meeting, I'm going to show a slide or slides during the meet-n-greet portion of the meeting. The slide will have job announcements along with faces of who supplied the announcement, so that you can find that person and chat with them about the job. Just make sure you get the text and picture to me by lunch on the day of the meetup. Email it to me at phoenixreactjs_jobs@tylercollier.com . Plan to format it as a quarter of a slide, like this:

Thanks Bryan Focht and GoDaddy for hosting and providing food and drinks!
Agenda:
6:30: Food and networking. Make friends, talk code, life, and jobs.
6:50: Announcements
7:00: Workshop
8:00-ish: Real-world discussions. This is where anyone can ask questions and get group feedback. We'll get into a smaller group for easier discussion. The idea is to share real world issues you're having and get feedback from the group as a roundtable conversation. It'll be best if you have a laptop with you.
