Nerdy Singles Speed Matching Event and Mixer (Singles ONLY)

Please come within the first 10-15 minutes or you cannot participate. Park has parking, as does the shopping center.

Dating as a nerd or introvert can be awkward, so I’m putting together an event that makes meeting potential dates feel easy and low-pressure. Several people have asked for an event like this and I wanted to do it distinct from people who are already partnered.

How it will work:
At the start of the event, everyone will receive a sheet of paper to write their name and phone number at the top. You’ll also wear a name tag with your first and last name.

I will ask several icebreaker questions that people might want to know about romantic interests.

Icebreaker Questions:
- Are you an Arizona native (yes/no)?
- Are you in your 30s (30-39) or 40s (40-49)?
- Are you close to family (yes/no)?
- Do you have a small or large social circle?
- Are you looking for fun or a serious relationship?
- Do you want to get married (yes/no)?
- Do you want kids (yes/no)?
- Do you already have kids (yes/no)?
- Do you work in science, engineering, or tech (yes/no)?
- Do you work in education, healthcare, or law (yes/no)?
- Do you have a bachelor's degree or higher (yes/no)?
- Do you own a home/condo/townhouse (yes/no)?
- Do you play or watch sports (yes/no)?
- Do you like the arts (yes/no)?
- Do you enjoy the outdoors (yes/no)?
- Do you play video games (yes/no)?
- Do you read books (yes/no)?
- Are you big into movies or TV (yes/no)?

After, the event will have general chatting.

Throughout the event, you can write down the names of anyone you’re interested in dating.

At the end, I’ll collect the sheets and message you privately by text with the names and numbers of anyone who is also interested in you.

General rule: If someone isn't interested in you, don't pressure them or ask them multiple times. Let's keep the group safe and friendly for everyone.
