Phoenix-Toronto Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
Have you ever felt uncomfortable speaking in front of a crowd? Have you ever wished you could think faster on your feet in professional/personal settings? Have you ever aspired to be a more effective communicator and a leader?
Don't worry, you're not alone.
We are a dynamic and friendly club of Toastmasters International based in the Mississauga/Etobicoke/Toronto area, helping our members and guests improve their communications and leadership skills since 1980. Come and join us as a guest to see what we're all about!
We meet every Tuesday (exceptions for long weekends and Holidays), from 7pm to 8:30pm (with 6:45pm to 7pm as an opportunity to network). We generally have two types of meetings:
- 1st and 3rd Tuesdays - Hybrid Meeting - Meeting room in the Etobicoke Civic Center + ZOOM
- 2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesdays - Virtual Meeting - Combined with our Sister Club (Blossoming Voices), we meet on either of our ZOOM Meetings
Our meetings are generally composed of some standard sections:
- Role Player Introductions
- Prepared Speeches (if any)
- Table Topics - Great opportunity for everyone to participate and practice thinking on their feet
- Evaluation Segment - Improving via feedback
