Details
Join me for a powerful weekend, and learn the exact steps I took to get from zero to six figures as a VoiceOver Artist in one year!
Are you interested in a career as a Voice Actor/Voice Over Artist? Are you looking for a side hustle that can earn you some extra cash? Or maybe you are already in the field and looking to level up your game.
In this 2 day (12 hour) intensive training, we will cover the exact steps I took to create a successful, six figure Voice Acting Career. I will also share what I have learned throughout my career from experience, and from thousands of dollars spent on classes and workshops.
What you will learn:
DAY 1: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH, 10AM - 2PM
My Story - How I went from $0 - $XXX,XXX in one year with VO.
The Voice Acting Business - How does this industry work? What are the niches within the industry?
Journaling Exercise - You will discover what your why is for doing VO, and what your goals are in this coming year. This is also a time for you to write down any burning questions you want to cover throughout the course.
What Equipment You Will Need - With so much out there, it can get overwhelming when deciding what equipment to buy. We will cover budget and higher end options to get your started or leveled up.
Breath Control & Warm Ups - Taking care of your voice is part of the job. Your voice is your instrument. We will discuss proper vocal care in warm ups, and in lifestyle choices.
Acting Techniqes, Emotion & Believability - The art of VoiceOver is Voice ACTING. Therefore, you must learn how to act. Without real emotion, you will not be believable, and therefore not be a good actor. If you're not a good actor, you will have a hard time succeeding in this industry! We are going to cover some techniques for how to get you delivering believable reads.
Practice Reading: Finding Your Voice - Though you may be versatile and be great at a lot of different types of reads/characters, there are typically a few we are naturally good at and excel in. In this section, you will get some practice with different types of scripts to find out what your "niche" is! Knowing this is helpful, as this will give you an area to focus on that will help get your foot in the door.
Setting up Equipment/Home Studio & Great Quality Sound - You can be the best voiceover artist in the world, but if you don't have a quality product and quality sound, clients will not want to work with you - or at least from your home studio (which is how most work is executed these days). I will teach you about what good sound sounds like, and how to acheive that quality in your home studio! You will also learn how to set up your equipment.
Nailing your Auditions - In order to get jobs, you must deliver great auditions. We will cover everything from confidence to self direction to adding music.
DAY 2: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH, 10AM - 2PM
Recording & Basic Editing - You don't need to know how to use every feature of the recording and editing software. Here I will run you through a live example of how to record and edit your voiceover auditions and jobs, and how to add music.
Creating a Demo! - Your demo is your business card! Having a good one will expedite your advancement in the in voiceover industry. I will walk you through what makes a good demo, and how to design, record, and mix one on your own!
How to Get Work - There are so many ways to get voiceover work. The top ones we will cover are the different "pay to play" websites and how to get an agent. We will briefly cover some other avenues as well.
Executing the Job Like a Pro - You got the job...now what?! Depending client preference, you will either record on your own, or have a directed call with the client. Will will cover the dos and don'ts for both and how to stay confident and self assured through the process so your clients keep coming back for more!
Continued Education - Your VoiceOVer training should not end here. The best way to learn is by DOING, and getting feedback. Find a coach or join a community where you can give and get feedback from your peers and coaches.
Setting up Your Business & Great Customer Service - Depending on how you decide to go about this business, you may need to set up an LLC, but planning ahead for taxes is wise. In addition to business talk, we will discuss what great customer service looks like and how to stand out from the crowd.
Q & A - This is your chance to ask questions! Look at the ones you wrote down in your journal, or any questions that may have come up along the way.
