THE IMPOSTER SYNDROME WORKSHOP: A SEMINAR ON RECOGNIZING YOUR VALUE AND WORTH BEYOND YOUR TRAUMA
Join us tonight for an all new Fall Workshop dealing with Imposter Syndrome, something that a large portion of our membership struggles with. Imposter Syndrome is defined as anxiety or self-doubt that results from persistently undervaluing one’s competence and active role in achieving success, while falsely attributing one's accomplishments to luck or other external forces.
This workshop will deep dive into this phenomenon that afflicts over 80% of the population and likely the majority of the people who suffer from Complex PTSD. As part of the seminar we'll explore:
* a clear definition of imposter syndrome and it's causes
* signs and symptoms of imposter syndrome
* how your view of your capabilities are affected by complex trauma
* discuss the four P's of imposter syndrome
* understanding your individual triggers and thought patterns
* utilizing self-compassion to fortify your feelings of adequacy
* why imposter syndrome affects marginalized people more than others
* development of actionable strategies to stop feelings of unworthiness
* learn useable ways to challenge negative self-perception
* goal setting strategies and acting 'as if'
The discussion and strategies during this session can be used to conquer self doubt in work, relationships and family life and members who are in active stages of recovery are strongly encouraged to attend as a reminder that you are not alone.
COST: $20 for this session with material provided for personal study post workshop. This fee is non refundable.
(All members with the unlimited workshop pass are welcome to comment below if they'd like to attend. Zoom links will be released via PM only the morning of the meeting.)
YOUR ORGANIZER: Kerrin is a 40-something attorney who feels like she suffers from Imposter Syndrome every day. She began this group in 2021 as a way of dealing with narcissistic abuse from her mother and ex partner.
