What we’re about
This group is for any young adults in/around Phoenix aged 25-30s/born between 1986-1999 (guys added through friends of friends usually after being a regular +1) who would like to meet new people and get more involved with social events! Anything from volleyball, hikes, brunches, trivia, book clubs, pool parties, drinks/bar crawls.. Essentially any fun group activity for young adults in Phoenix!
Come along to any event by yourself or feel free to bring friends etc, it's very laid back and a great way to meet some new people here! We often use WhatsApp to plan stuff too especially for things at peoples homes or for some of the smaller get togethers so highly recommend getting that as well.
If you have any fun ideas for an event or would like to get involved with running the group or hosting events yourself, definitely get in touch with us so we can get it organized.

*We occasionally take photos/videos at events which we'll post to Instagram/social media, so by participating in any event you agree to be shown in them. It helps us continue to build the group and get more people involved!
**Everyone's always responsible for their own safety at every event too. Please act sensibly and rideshare/Uber/Lyft/Waymo etc if you're drinking, do not drink and drive.
2018 onwards: If you're a guy, only try and join when the group doesn't require approval, otherwise it'll stay pending forever. Or get invited/added by someone already in the group. Don't take anything personally, far more guys use Meetup in general and our goal is to keep events fairly even and have a normal social group dynamic. Helps us avoid a number of problems we've experienced in the past.

Come and join us for volleyball Thursday evenings! It's a fun, friendly, and playfully competitive environment with few rules and socializing in between games. Open invite to those in the group and their +1s but be sure to rsvp if you're coming so we can keep track of numbers and make sure we don't go more than around 6 players per team!
We'll get started setting up at 6:30 pm but don’t worry if you can’t get there until later – we switch up teams throughout the evening so it’s easy to jump in – and we usually play for a few hours. It's really fun and definitely one of the best outdoor activities!
We're currently reserving all 4 courts from 7pm, if people are open to contributing $1-2 it goes a long way as we’re currently spending $60-80 per week depending on end time. Venmo is @robert-clauson or Zelle is 575.317.3229, either is fine!

Don't forget to bring water. Sand socks can also be useful as the sand can be cold this time of year.
