Lower Salt River Cleanup - Volunteer Opportunity! 25-30’s

Come join us for the first fall Salt River Cleanup on Saturday, September 27th from 8am to 11AM. Explore the riverbanks & trails along the Lower Salt River while removing scattered trash along the way! Might even see some wild horses!
This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who would like to get involved in the community, especially those who make use of the awesome lands we have and would like to give back! ⁠
I’ll post a pic of exactly where we’ll meet the day before event. Parking is free for volunteers (Phon D Sutton is technically in Tonto NF)!

We’ll meet at Phon D. Coordinates are 33.54602° N, 111.65989° W by the check in tents. That should lead you directly to where we will be. I’ll post what I’m wearing day of so you can find the group easily. Plan to be there no later than 8AM as there is a safety briefing before the cleanup. Clean up materials are provided (gloves, trash pickers, bags) so no need to bring anything! Water and snacks are usually provided but feel free to bring your own. I’d recommend wearing clothing you plan to get dirty.
