🥾 About the Hike:
Fossil Creek has one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Arizona with its unique crystal-clear turquoise water. The terrain can be rocky, wearing proper hiking shoes is recommended. There’s little to no shade for the first part of the trail, and with parking lot #2-8 (our case #2-3), you are going to be exposed to the direct sun even longer. The temperature can reach over 100°f there in summer. Come prepared, especially if you’re bringing your dogs.

Parking lot # distances to the waterfall and back;

  1. 2 miles
  2. 2.5 miles
  3. 3.5 miles

There’s a vault toilet at every parking lot.

Since it’s a long drive to there, pack your own lunch, snacks & drinks. No glass!

There’s a ~16 miles dirt road to get to the parking lot. Vehicles with higher ground clearance (like SUVs/Trucks) are necessary. Volunteer drivers with one of those vehicles are needed.

Currently, 5 of us, each have a permit. We’ll need 5 suitable vehicles to take up to 20 people (4 people/vehicle). If 1 or more permit holders couldn’t make it on the day of this event happening OR we don’t have enough suitable vehicles, the attendee number will be reduced. Keep that my mind.

Once signed up, you’ll be on the waitlist until we have a driver.

⛽️ Do help out your driver with gas money.
⚠️ You’re responsible for your own safety. Come prepared, hike smart, and have fun!
